How do I connect to Free Wi-Fi?
To connect to the Connect Waya-Waya FREE Wi-Fi is super easy.
Simply connect to the waya-waya network under your mobile’s Wi-Fi settings, register your details and start browsing for FREE
How do I Download the “Connect Waya-Waya” App?
Visit https://www.connectwayawaya.co.za/app-download/ and click on the link of the device you are using, download the app from your app store, click on the mall nearest to you, follow instructions and enjoy!
Rewards Programme
Depending on how many times per month you access the app, view ads or offers, visit the mall or store, will determine how many points you accumulate, which can be used at your favourite stores and restaurants. You can also earn additional rewards points by simply visiting any of our participating shopping centres and scanning the QR codes in-store. Earning rewards points has never been easier!
Find Rewards
- Click on the Rewards menu button
- You are presented with ALL the available rewards
- You can search for rewards within specific categories such as “ Food and Drink”, selectable by sliding through the category slider and clicking on the category of interest.
- You can further reset the filter to “ALL”
- You can find your Rewards Wallet by clicking that option, at the bottom of the screen.
Earn Points
- We reward you for using the Connect Waya-Waya App. See Points Awarded section
- On entering a participating shop, ask for the QR code, and scan it to earn points.
- The QR Code scan option, is located on your middle menu button, click and scan.
- Note: You do need to physically be at the mall and inside the shop, to scan for points.
- Points scanned are immediately added to your Rewards Wallet, accessible from the Rewards screen.
Redeem Points
- When you find a Reward, you are interested in, you can click the Waya-Waya FISTBUMP icon, to initiate the reward.
- A GREEN FISTBUMP will indicate you have sufficient points to redeem the Reward
- A RED FISTBUMP indicates you still need to earn more points.
- You can click the Reward and open the Rewards Detail page, and from there redeem the reward.
Rewards Wallet
- The Rewards wallet shows you how many points you have, as well as how many points you have redeemed.
- You will also see your Monthly totals indicating your points balance.
- Click each month to expand it, and examine transaction details
- Key to PIE chart:
- Available – The number of points you have that you can still redeem.
- Earn – The total number of points you have earned.
- Redeemed – The total number of points you have redeemed at point of sale.

How do I purchase data?
On your Connect Waya-Waya® application, select the “Buy Wi-Fi Data” icon and follow onscreen instructions to purchase, via debit or credit card, the 1GB or unlimited data, 30-day packages.
How do I activate my purchased data?
On your smart device, select the mall Wi-Fi “@Waya-Waya 1GB FREE or Uncapped” and enter your Connect Waya-Waya® registration username and password.
What is the difference between the Mall 1GB FREE Wi-Fi data and purchased data?
The FREE 1GB data is only valid for a day and a new account must be created everytime you want to use the free data. Purchased data is valid for 30 days without the need to enter account details again.
Is the purchased Wi-Fi data better than the FREE 1GB daily Wi-Fi?
Yes, the purchased account data has priority use of the mall internet services. This does not however guarantee a specific internet speed but does provide a premium internet bandwidth of up to 5mbps per user. Bandwidth availability related to internet speed is dependent on the number of users on the network at any given time.
Why would I purchase data when the mall has FREE Wi-Fi?
The FREE Wi-Fi data of 1GB is limited in usage and priority – you have only 1GB per day and must re-create an account every time the 1GB data depletes. The 1GB purchased data is valid for 30 days with priority Wi-Fi access, while the uncapped package has unlimited data use for 30 days.
Do I still get the Free 1GB data daily even if I purchased a 1GB Data Package?
Yes, every time you connect to the “@Waya-Waya 1GB FREE or Uncapped” Wi-Fi, you will first receive the 1GB free data to use before depleting the 1GB data purchased.
How do I see how much data I have left?
On your Connect Waya-Waya® application select the “Buy Wi-Fi Data” icon and “Purchases” to view the packages and data left per package purchased. The App will also send you notifications to advise when 80% has been used and when the data has been depleted.
